I enjoy going to the pond with my puppy and seeing him be so happy running aroung and sniffing everything that he can sniff! I also like to look at funny youtube videos online. Exercising had become one of my new hobbies. Jogging, walking, and weightlifting has became a great stress reliever. About Me

My name is Lakendra Weaver! I am a undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Arlington. My major is Early Childhood Education/ ESL certification. I am due to graduate in 2013! I enjoy teaching and it is a major passion of mine.
I worked as a teacher assistant for a couple of years and I loved the experience and knowledge that I gained each day. I worked in a Pre-K class and also tutored students Pre-k through 5th grade after school. I also worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Arlington where I gained more experience working with students Kindergarten through 5th grade. My goal in life is to make a difference and what better way to do this than nurturing the potential of our future.
My teaching approach is first and foremost belief. A tutor or anyone teaching must believe in the learner. Believing in someone aids them to believe in themselves, resulting in higher confidence. Higher confidence brings a increased success and interest in learning. My tutoring goal is help students and teachers meet and surpass goals while being a positive and encouraging mentor!
