Fun Facts
I love to play Basketball, Spikeball and Ultimate Frisbee. When it is a nice sunny day, I like to hangout with friends outside and play Frisbee and Spikeball. Spikeball is an intense 2v2 "sport" that requires teamwork and communication; the goal is to return the opponent's hit and smash it back down on the "trampoline like" net. I love the competitive spirit that it facilitates, and there is nothing better than a competitive game of Ultimate Frisbee or Spikeball.
About Me
I am an entering freshman Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology major at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. I am just finishing up my senior year in high school, and I am taking AP courses like Macro Economics and Calculus BC, which I find tremendously interesting. I intend on going to Medical School after college and earning an MD/MBA.
Experience
I houston">tutor students through National Honor Society during lunch in Biology and Algebra. I also houston">tutor 2 elementary and 2 middle school students outside of class in both Pre-Algebra and Algebra. In addition, I houston">tutor a high school student from East Early College High School in AP Macro Economics. The difference it makes in my student's lives really leaves a lasting impact on me, which makes me want to continue to work as a houston">tutor.
Approach
When I initially entered high school, I wasn't as hard working and studious as I am today. I realized not only the importance of learning, but the pleasure one gets from succeeding in a subject. I was never the smartest student in my math classes,but I learned that you don't have to be in order to achieve an A in the class; I went from being a B student in Algebra 2, to an A student in AP Calculus BC, and attribute my success to a good work ethic.

I am a graduating student from Bellaire High School, which is known to have some of the most rigorous course work, especially in the Math department. I have had both A's and B's in my math classes, but only 93+ in Calculus I & II. I believe my strong foundation and comfort with math will allow my students to succeed.
