Fun Facts
One of the first things that people around me will come to learn is that I have a deep interest in history. Whether I am talking to my family, friends, or associate, I tend to make cross reference to history in order to better explain my perspectives. It amazes me that although we are living in the 21st century, we can still point to our ancestors and the things they have been through in the past in order to better understand ideas. The guidance and lessons we learn from history are timeless.
About Me
I am currently a student at University of Texas at Arlington majoring in Biology. I am also part of the UTeach program at UTA. I aspire to become a High School Chemistry teacher. I also am a student of the Arabic language so I occasionally take time out during the weekend to learn Arabic grammar. I am fond of cooking, especially dishes from Indian and Arabic background.
Experience
As far as I can remember, I have been irving">tutoring my siblings and classmates my whole entire life. I also tutored elementary children during my freshmen year of college at University of Texas at Arlington. I did not only tutored them in all subjects, but I also served as their advisor when it came to studying skills and as their mentor when it came to how to carrying oneself in an academic setting with different students and teachers.
Approach
I have observed that teachers tend to have one teaching style, but because there are many students, that one teaching style will not work for everyone. I never learned the material by applying the technique of my teacher, but rather I would come up with my own way of solving the problem or seeing the whole picture. I was fortunate to share my studying skills with peers, and that is when I became passionate about teaching, especially presenting different thoughts and thinking styles to table.

I a able to tutor Middle School Math. I excelled in my math studies during my middle school yea, and these same concepts were reviewed multiple of times in my high school year.

I understand and can teach the elementary math really well. I was a H.O.P.E tutor for about half of an year where I tutored elementary kids in all subjects, where math was included. My students were able to understand what I was teaching them really well.
Social Studies Tutoring
I am a fan of history. I understand and can teach the elementary social studies really well. I was a H.O.P.E tutor for about half of an year where I tutored elementary kids in all subjects, where math was included. My students were able to understand what I was teaching them really well. Also, in high school I was part of UIL Social Studies where I have won places in district, regional, and state.
