Fun Facts
I love to run in my free time, it is such a fun way to get all my worries out! When I'm not philadelphia">tutoring, I am a Mom to two little boys (5 and 2). We love spending our weekends and summers visiting the park, playing outside and going to the zoo. We love to have family movie night with lots of popcorn!
About Me
I have been an Elementary Teacher for 11 years and have recently decided to resign from my position and focus on raising my family. The opportunity to philadelphia">tutor would help me fulfill that "missing piece" while raising my family.
Before having children I would philadelphia">tutor students on various subjects as well as homework help. Each student would have their own folder where we could track progress as well as store materials.My philadelphia">tutoring approach is fun and functional. I don't want students to struggle!
Experience
I attended West Chester University, where I received my under-graduate. While teaching full-time, I earned my Masters in Literacy. Over the last eleven years I have worked n various areas of continuing education through professional development. All of these experiences has helped me to learn and grow as an educator.
Approach
When I was younger, I struggled with vowel sounds and reading. My Dad helped to put thighs into familiar situations for me, which really helped. I find myself doing this fawn with my children and my students.

I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 6th grade over the last 11 years so I am very knowledgeable in various areas. After working all day in the classroom, students can often become frustrated at home when it's time for homework. I saw it in my 4 year old and would help him chunk material and created a chart/checklist to help him stay focused.
