Fun Facts
I love dogs! I am a dog lover, I have a 4 year old German Shepard at home with me who I love dearly. He really is like my child, if you ever see us interact it really is a sight to see. I find comfort in relaxing and working out when I have free time. I actually do like dancing, but it's never on rhythm lol.
About Me
I graduated from Floral Park highschool in 2009, then went on to Nassau Community College for the next two years. From there I went to Molloy College where I graduated with my Bachelors in Speech Pathology last year (2014), and now I'm in the masters program for childhood education/education/new-york/long-island">special education. I will be completed with this program next year (May 2016) My goal is to become a teacher.
Experience
I use to help my younger cousins with their homework a lot, and reading them stories in both English and Spanish. While I was doing this I was pleased to see the look on their faces as they was understanding their work. It was then that I realized that I wanted to do this forever. Help out children or adults when they are having a difficult time academically. Learning isn't always easy, and sometimes it takes a little push and encouragement to bring out some understanding.
Approach
Whenever you're about to help someone, you have to approach with sincereness and love. People can pick up from your vibe. As a tutor, I will make sure to develop a rapport with the student so they can have a sense of comfortability. And with this it can be a smooth transaction to helping and wanting to learn the material at hand.
