Fun Facts
I have a passion for the Fine Arts. I danced at a studio for 10 years, played clarinet, played the viola, write poetry and songs. My poetry has been published in 3 books of the Howard Ely Collection.
About Me
I am a recent graduate from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA. I have attained my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in English. I plan on going to law school in the near future.
Experience
This summer I was a Teacher Assistant/ Resident Advisor for English 103 in Spelman College's Early College Program. I had the opportunity to help the students (Rising Juniors and Seniors in High School) in individual/group washington-dc">tutoring with their papers, time management, brainstorming, organization, researching techniques, and critical analyzing abilities. Outside of academics, I was a mentor and helped the students prioritize their preparation for college.
Approach
My mother is a retired educator from DCPS. She is apart of my foundation in how I approach washington-dc">tutoring and being a mentor. Additionally, I took General Psychology and Educational Psychology which have given me better techniques/approaches centered on individualized instruction catered to the needs/learning style of that specific student.
