Fun Facts
I am a fun, but serious person! I like being silly and watching a good romantic comedy or Japanese drama that just can't stop me from laughing! Yet I also know when to set aside time to study for college courses or work on my language vocabulary. I enjoy talking about differences in cultures from around the world and I have many dreams to travel to far-away, tropical places, Hawaii and Okinawa to name a few! I enjoy running, tennis, making sushi, painting and writing letters to friends!
About Me
I am a Bi-Lingual Travel Agent working at a Japanese travel agency in the US. I still enjoy teaching languages on the side and can not stress the importance enough of learning a second language and sticking with it! It has its rewards! I am actually attending EMU (Eastern Michigan University) as an online student so earn my Bachelors with my major in Japanese Language and Culture.

Approach
I found that language learning is more effective if the student is in an immersion environment that tests all four areas of language- Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. There may be some resistance to taking this "all-in" approach, but truly its the most efficient way to learn how to use a language. That's why in my lessons, I will tend to use the "target language" 95% of the time and provide help/ hints when needed. My students soon catch on and learn language patterns in no time!
