About Me
I am currently pursuing a doctorate degree in violin performance at Texas Christian University. I have been teaching music and violin for nearly 20 years. I learn so much while being a student as well as being a teacher. I enjoy working with children, teens and adults.
In addition to teaching music, I enjoy tutoring math and algebra. The students I worked with in the past often felt overwhelmed, discouraged and felt it was impossible to understand the subject matter at hand. However; after our tutoring sessions, they gained confidence, hope and learned that it was not as difficult as it first seemed to be.
I like the challenge of explaining concepts in different ways. I adapt my teaching style, word pictures and approaches to each student's learning style and personality. I incorporate sincere positive reinforcement and encouragement with honesty when working with students.
