Fun Facts

Born in California but raised in Oregon. due to this split I have been one to oscillate between these two lovely states. My California side has influenced me to love the setting of sunny beaches. As for my Oregon roots, I experienced the ever long stretch of nature and amazing hiking trips.I completed majority of my education in California and was on the high school baseball, track, and football team. Out of the three, I had most my success in Track and competed at the regional level for the 400.

About Me

I am a third year mechanical engineering major with a minor in aerospace studies at Fresno state.I am a member of the National Society of collegiate scholars and the air force ROTC program. My career goal is to obtain my bachelors degree and commission as an air force officer. Later on, I plan to go back and work for my masters in engineering and intend to teach at a university level later on in my career.

Experience

During my first year of college, I tutored a small group of college students for algebra. In addition, I was given the opportunity of being apart of Fresno states Supplemental instruction program where I gained valuable skills in hosting and tailoring study sessions to be more creative and fun yet compelling to the student. I enjoyed this because my students had a positive impact learning chemistry.

Approach

Throughout my educational experience, I learned that teachers who were supportive and positive had more of a positive outcome compared to other teaching styles. With that in mind, I plan to take this approach and experiment with it. As a madera">tutor, my motto will be to be positive even when my student is not and aid and push them through the tough times. Rather than, just throwing out answers I plan to walk students through the process that way learning the material is effective.

Calculus 2 Tutoring

After taking the calculus II course my second semester at Fresno state, I received the highest letter grade possible. During this semester, I also helped a few of my classmates by hosting study sessions at the library. This course is fairly important to understanding engineering analysis for my degree.

Chemistry I Tutoring

I've taken chemistry I my freshmen year of college and received an 'A" in the course. I have tutored college students in this subject for 2 years. This is another subject critical to understanding engineering studies.

Physics I Tutoring

I took this course my junior year of high school and took the calculus base course my second semester of college.I have hosted study sessions for my fellow classmates and lead these. As for engineering studies, this course is essential to understanding dynamics so it is closely tied with my major.

Physics II Tutoring

I received an "A" in this course when i took it my second year in college. This course is essential for understanding electrical analysis and thermodynamics so this is an engineering favorite.

Pre Calculus Tutoring
