Fun Facts

I love kayaking (especially at Town Lake), swimming, and traveling. My goal for this summer is to teach myself to cook. I am a huge UT football fan... even though my younger brother attends Texas A&M.

About Me

I am a senior Microbiology major at The University of Texas at Austin. After I graduate, I hope to obtain a doctorate in Physical Therapy. I am interested in pediatric physical therapy and am currently volunteering at a physical therapy clinic in Austin.

About a year ago, I was a mentor in a research lab to incoming freshmen students. I taught new students basic lab techniques and helped them get started on their own research projects. This past semester, I led a weekly study group for my physiology class during which we reviewed concepts and prepared for tests. I also enjoy austin">tutoring my youngest brother in his middle school Pre-Algebra and science classes.

As a austin">tutor, I work hard to help students reach independence in their studies. I never directly give a student the answer, but rather, guide him or her toward the correct approach. After teaching a topic, I like to let students try a problem with minimal guidance so that I can gauge their understanding. I am always encouraging, patient, and knowledgeable.
