Fun Facts

I love dogs! I have a lab mix, named Liyah, who is my pride and joy :). I enjoy a variety of activities like dancing, arts and crafts, biking, camping at the beach, exercising, and going to the pool. I love playing Dance Central on Xbox Kinect. Most time you'll see me with my Kindle and/or book because I love to read.

About Me

I am a junior at George Mason University. I have been on the Dean's List for three years now, shooting for my fourth this Fall. Currently, I am an Accounting and possibly Finance major, with a minor in science/virginia/washington-dc">Computer Science. My hopes are to become a Certified Public Accountant to start. I hope to work at a Big Four accounting firm like Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PWC, or KPMG.

During high school, I did some volunteer washington-dc">tutoring for elementary and middle school children. I was, also, a member of the National Spanish Honor Society. I tutored classmates in Spanish, levels I through IV, twice a week. Currently, I am a babysitter and part of my job is to help the children with their homework/school assignments and their math and reading skills. I am grateful to work with Frog washington-dc">Tutoring because it gives me even more opportunities to help make an impact in a child's academic and personal life.

Every child learns differently; as a washington-dc">tutor, it is my job to find the best teaching method for that individual. My ultimate goal is to help build a child's confidence. I have a strong "I can" attitude and believe through dedication and perseverance, you can achieve anything. I ask open ended questions and let the child give me the answers. If they do not know the answer, I guide them to find out the answer on their own by using their resources. At the end of our washington-dc">tutoring journey, my students will have the tools necessary to become independent learners. I motivate my students by giving them rewards once they've achieved their goals. Extra rewards are given to those students who make the most improvements by going above and beyond our expectations. I know that together we can all make learning a positive and exciting experience!
