I am a HUGE fan of Japanese animation and manga. I also enjoying playing chess and bicycling. There's something compelling about the freedom you feel on a bicycle where your own leg strength acts as the engine. There's something very self-reliant about that.

About Me

I am a magna cum laude graduate of Grambling State University with a bachelor's degree in Physics and a minor in Math. I am currently working as an online tutor although I plan on eventually enrolling in a Master's program in physics at a reputable university.

Experience

I was employed as a physics and mathematics tutor in my senior year. I tutored physics courses including general physics I and II, mechanics and E&M. In addition, I also tutored introductory math course such as Pre-calculus and college algebra. During most of my time as an undergraduate I acted as an informal tutor to many of my friends and classmates. I enjoyed those experiences of being able to help students achieve their academic goals.

Approach

It may reduce my clientele but my main focus while tutoring is to equip the student with the skills and knowledge he or she needs so that they can solve similar problems on their own. A big part of that is the emotional aspect so I try to instill confidence in my students by praising positive behaviors and allowing them to play an active role during the session.
