Fun Facts

One of the things that always intrigue me is neuroscience. Particularly, the subject of how the brain creates and stores memories. From topics such as making mnemonics, memorizing a deck of cards in minutes to speed reading, these amazing feats of memory fascinate me to learn more about them. I also enjoy researching and experimenting with various cases that could improve a person's life or improve productivity to reach their goals.

About Me

I am currently studying in the nursing program of my college (NYCCT). Health-science regarding the human body has always been one of my interests. One of my dreams is to become a doctor, and implement technology in health-care such make 3-D printed prosthetic. I also want to make an impact the US Education system to show how we can further improve our methods of teaching in the age of technology.

Experience

When I was in high school, I had a chance to tutor some of the children in my neighbor. It was interesting to see learning from their perspective. A concept that would seem simple to me or students of higher grade could seem challenging to a student who is being introduced to the topic. In such cases, instead of directly trying to teach the concept, I noticed it is better to guide the student so they can develop the perspective to understand it. Frog Tutoring is my opportunity to help students.

Approach

I believe taking an effective approach can make a big difference in learning any skill. Organizing study resources, effective study skills, practice, time management, keeping record are some important aspects to consider in any approach. As a tutor or a mentor, I want to help my students learn good study habits and overcome the fears they may have in their subjects.
