I name my cars, and my first car's name was Kermit. I love cartoons, especially Adventure Time. I still color in coloring books, and have a collection of them as well.

About Me

My name is Jenna, and I am a junior at the University of Rhode Island. Currently, I am a psychology major, but previously I was a Biology major, so I can providence">tutor in both studies. I love to learn and only want to pass that on to younger students who may not agree.

My providence">tutoring experience relates back to my senior project in high school. For two weeks, I taught the high school's Biology 1 class, and this included teaching them how to dissect a frog. For this, I had to coordinate with the teacher to create various quizzes, lesson plans, and presentations. I solely gave the presentations and the students were graded based on my teachings and quizzes.

My approach to providence">tutoring is to try to find as many ways as possible to teach the same idea. If the student does not understand it in one perspective, it is the providence">tutor's job to find multiple ways to explain it until the student fully understands. This also includes repetition and small quizzes within the sessions, to help reinforce the information in the student's mind. It also helps to connect with the student and relate to them, to make them more comfortable in a learning setting.
