Fun Facts

I love cereal so much that sometimes I would eat it for all three meals. I really enjoy doing outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, running, kayaking, swimming, flag football, and volleyball. I love singing in the shower even though my brother tells me to stop every time I do so.

About Me

I am a sophomore Biology/Pre-dent major at the University of Texas at Austin. I love my school and enjoy learning! When I graduate, I hope to go to dental school and, one day, when I become a dentist, I aspire to go to on many missions to third world countries and help the people there.

My first teaching experience was as an elementary student austin">tutor when I was a senior in high school. During school days, I would austin">tutor and help the student with homework after school for about an hour and a half on all subjects three times a week. During winter and summer breaks, I would go to the student’s home with prepared materials and teach. My second teaching experience is also during my senior year in high school. When I became a member of the National Honor Society, we launched an after-school austin">tutoring program for students who were not doing so well academically. Grades varied from middle school to high school, and, later, students would come and tell us that the austin">tutoring session really helped bring their grades up.

As a child, I disliked moving on to the next material when I still didn't understand the previous one. And I believe that it is essential for the student to fully comprehend the learning materials before moving on to the next level. So if the students don't understand something then I would try to be more flexible by approaching from different angles and using other sources as a guideline. I will also try my best to help my students build good study skills that will help them be successful in their classes.
