Fun Facts
My dad is in the military, so I have moved all over the country and visited many different places. I have four siblings, two of whom are older and two of whom are younger. My favorite time of the year is definitely football season! When I'm not doing schoolwork (or watching football) I enjoy reading, especially military history books.
About Me
I am a recent graduate of the Catholic University of America, where I majored in history. My college experience really pushed me to work hard and I was able to be on the Dean's List all four years! Ultimately, I would like to work as an analyst for the government.
Experience
During my sophomore year of college, I was selected to be an Undergrad Fellow, where I mentored and tutored a group of freshmen. Then, in my senior year, I was given the opportunity to work at CUA's Writing Center, where I worked one-on-one with students to help improve their grammar and writing. I really enjoyed my time working there, so when I realized that Frog Tutoring offered me an opportunity to continue doing that kind of work, I eagerly applied!
Approach
Growing up, my mom homeschooled me, and this experience has greatly influenced how I approach tutoring. I believe tutoring should be individualized; there is no one-size-fits-all! Study habits that work for some people don't work for others, and it is my job to help students discover those habits that help them succeed. Thus, I see the role of a tutor as being like that of a coach who provides guidance to students but also allows them to take the initiative in finding the answer.

I studied history at the Catholic University of America, graduating with a major GPA of 3.92. My main area of focus was American and European history, although I also took classes in Islamic history and Ancient Mediterranean history. As a writing tutor, I worked with many students who were writing history research papers.

I took three semesters of Spanish in college. In class, we practiced both speaking and writing in Spanish. I received the highest grade in those classes and would have pursued a minor in Spanish if my schedule had allowed it.
