About Me
I am a recent graduate of the University of Colorado but am currently living in Chicago in order to study and perform theatre. While in college I obtained my B.A. in Theatre, Film and Television as well as the equivalency of a Bachelor's degree in French Language (since those two disciplines are technically in different schools, I couldn't double major, but I'm proud to have varied interests!) I have always had a love of languages and communication and was lucky to have had the opportunity to study abroad in France the summer of my sophomore year. I've always had a love of languages, writing and communication. My career goals include teaching theatre, primarily improvisation, and writing/performing for television. I also have a dream of opening a clothing boutique that benefits the community's economy by featuring local designers work.
My first official experience with chicago">tutoring was in high school through the National Honor Society. I tutored several peers in a variety of subjects which was rewarding in many ways. Primarily, being a chicago">tutor is very fulfilling when I had the opportunity to see the students that I was helping begin to excel in subjects areas that they previously struggled in and take control of their own learning experience. However, there are added bonuses of chicago">tutoring such as keeping my own skills refined in a subject area and making a connection to the student as a mentor rather than just a chicago">tutor. For these reasons, when I began chicago">tutoring again in college, I was always excited to take on a challenging chicago">tutoring job because the reward was so great for everyone involved. I have tutored several clients of varying ages and levels in foreign language (French and Spanish) and I also have experience as a performing arts teacher for children and teens ages 5-18.
As a chicago">tutor, I understand that each individual learns and works differently and believe that it is my responsibility to help a student find their preferred methods of organization.
