I am fluent in Japanese and somewhat fluent in Spanish. I have visited 10 countries this year!
About Me
I earned my degree in Mathematics at the University of Houston where I also taught Calculus II for 5 semesters! I took Real Analysis and Complex Analysis as my senior courses and I loved the challenge!
Last year I worked as a 7th grade math teacher. Then I moved to Japan for a few months and then backpacked through Europe. Now I am hoping to tutor part time.
Experience
I lead a Calculus II and Calculus III workshop at the University of Houston for 5 semesters. During my past three semesters, I had assistants in my class to teach them how to effectively teach mathematics.
I was a 7th grade math teacher.
Approach
I hate to have students copy down examples and memorize the steps to solving a problem. I want them to completely understand WHY and what they are doing.
