Fun Facts

I'm an avid reader, writer, and gamer, but those close to me know my passion is for acting. I work closely with the UTSA Lyric Theatre, most recently as Rose Maurrant in Kurt Weill's "Street Scene." My favorite book is C.S. Lewis' "The Great Divorce," and my favorite video games include the Mass Effect and Assassin's Creed series - but I do harbor a guilty love for Mario Party.

About Me

I'm a senior Vocal Performance major at UTSA, with a minor in English Literature. After my undergraduate studies, I hope to continue my education by getting a Master's degree at UCLA. Currently, I work part-time at a local law firm.

My tutoring experience is wide and varied, both formal and informal. In 2011 I worked for a year at the UTSA Center for Writing Excellence. I have also spent several years helping to homeschool three younger siblings, not to mention the odd friend or classmate asking for help.

Everyone's learning style is different, and I've found that the most effective method of tutoring is to learn what helps YOU. I have experience with everything from citations and research to proofreading final drafts to brainstorming for ideas at the very beginning. I never ask perfection from those I tutor, only progress. My favorite tutoring experiences are those when my students no longer need me, though of course I do miss them terribly.
