Fun Facts

I am one of seven sisters...my poor dad, I know! I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog Pippi, and playing sports - softball, volleyball, running - you name it, I've probably done it! As far as school goes, I just love learning how/why things work (thats why I chose engineering).

About Me

I am a senior Chemical Engineering (Chemistry minor) student at cleveland-state-university">Cleveland State University; I am also in the Honors program, which requires that I maintain a 3.5 GPA and do community service in order to receive a full academic scholarship. I am in the 4+1 Master's program, meaning I will have completed almost half of my Master's degree by the time I graduate with my Bachelor's. Upon graduation, I plan to obtain a job in the industry and go to school part-time to complete my Master's.

As part of my Honors program requirements, I have worked with a group of Honors students cleveland">tutoring elementary school children (K-4) as part of after school programs. Topics we have covered included science (everyday physics), health, nutrition and in the future we hope to cover math and other branches of science. I also have experience cleveland">tutoring middle and high school children in math and science.

I have a great passion for math and science and I love what I do...believe me, you can't make it through a Chemical Engineering degree if you don't like what you're doing! I want to instill my passion and curiosity in as many people as possible, even if it may not be math and science. I want students to be curious, ask questions, thoroughly understand their subjects, and find their passions; most of the time all it takes is a different explanation, a relevant/interesting example, or even just good note taking and study skills.
