Fun Facts

One of my biggest passions is the study of medicine. Any chance that I get I can be found looking for the latest news in the medical field. I am the youngest of 3 and have traveled to many places such as California, Massachusetts, Florida, and many places in Mexico. I speak, read, and write English and Spanish very fluently.

About Me

I have graduated from UTSA with a bachelor's in science in biology. I currently work as a Scribe/Medical Assistant for a cardiology clinic. I am working on improving my resume to be able to apply to medical school next year.

Experience

As a former student of Lyndon B. Johnson High School, I had the opportunity to be a part of the tutoring program for Math TAKS, which consisted of Monday through Friday tutoring for about an hour after-school. I have also tutored many of my friends, to whom I offered my assistance, in all subject areas. I earned the opportunity to impact their learning

Approach

As a child, I never really struggled with school, but I was aware that my friends did. I began to offer my help in the way that would encourage them to try harder and see that their persistence would pay off when they started to see improvement in their results. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this technique to all my session. I believe that in helping to understand the concept, instead of giving away the answer, they can understand how and why that answer was achieved. It is my responsibility to
