Fun Facts
I love to play guitar, and I also enjoy mountain biking. I frequently bike at Walnut Creek Park in north Austin, which is ranked in the top 100 mountain biking trails in the United States. While in college, I studied abroad in Spain for 6 weeks with a host family through a study abroad program at my university and highly recommend it to anyone that has the opportunity.
About Me
I graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in December of 2016 with a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. I am currently applying to different Ph.D. programs with aspirations to eventually study medicine. My strengths lie within math and science subjects, and I have learned many tips and tricks along the way that can make daunting subjects like Calculus easier to manage for students.
Experience
I have previous experience binghamton">tutoring in groups as well as individually, and have worked low income and poor performing community schools to help boost TAKS assessment scores. I have worked with middle school and high school ages in this after school program for over 1 year, as well as individual binghamton">tutoring for over 5 years. I also have participated with the UTeach program at UT, which presented science lessons at a local elementary school each Friday for one semester.
Approach
I first like to get information about difficult areas that the student needs help with, as well as look over class syllabi to determine what topics have been and will be covered to formulate a lesson plan. I like to begin the session by making sure all homework is completed and finishing any work that is still pending completion. Then I make sure to review mastery of concepts already covered in classes and prepare for any upcoming exams. Finally, we will begin to work ahead in difficult classes.

Algebra II Tutoring
I have completed College Algebra with a grade of A at Austin Community College, as well as Calculus 1 with a grade of A, Calculus 2 with a grade of B, and Calculus 3 with a grade of A at the University of Texas at Austin. I have 2 years of experience tutoring high school level Algebra 1 and 2 for the full school year of topics. My degree in Biochemistry uses Algebra, Calculus, Biology, and Chemistry for most of the courses that are required for the degree.

Statistics Tutoring
I have completed an introductory statistics course and majors biostatistics course at UT and made an A in both classes. I have also used statistics as it is applied to multiple other laboratory classes, such as physiology lab and analytical chemistry, both of which use statistics in every experiment.
