Fun Facts

I love animals so much that I even use to be a vegetarian. I have many interests from cosmetology to martial arts. I was in Tae Kwon Do for 6 years! I have more family than I can count so they have taught me good family values and a love for children.

About Me

I am currently a freshman at Grand Canyon University. I am dual majoring in Psychology and Justice Studies. I am also in the Honors College at GCU and graduated high school from the National Honor's Society. I love both of my majors so much that I am unsure of whether I wish to pursue a master's in Psychology or attend law school in hopes of being a defense attorney.

Experience

My junior and senior year in high school, I was a "peer-tutor" and taught all subjects to my fellow peers. My strong subjects are all math up to College Algebra, AP Language, and Social Studies! I have had the wonderful opportunity to tutor younger cousins of mine and paid experience for other students as well!

Approach

One thing that saddened me was when I saw other tutors just give the answer away. I believe that in order to succeed, you need to grasp the concept. A saying I always tell the ones I tutor is "It does not matter how you get the answer. You could go around it, over it, even under it. What matters is that you understand and know how YOU got the answer." I am able to teach in a variety in different styles and determine which will help them succeed!

Study Skills Tutoring

Being a Psychology major I know that there are 4 basic ways to studying.
