About Me

I am a sophomore in college majoring in mathematics. I graduated from the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Academy in the top ten percent of my class. My goal is to be a high school math teacher, and perhaps one day, a professor at a top tier university.

I have always had an aptitude for math and science, it has brought be great pleasure and sense of accomplishment. There is no better feeling than when I help someone else understand the subjects which I love so much. From the time I was a freshman, until I was a senior in high school, I volunteered at a local elementary school offering math tutoring. When I wasn’t busy tutoring elementary students I would tutor my peers in various subjects. Not only do my students benefit from my tutoring, but I benefit from the experience as well.

I believe learning should be engaging. More times than not, there is just not enough time for students to get the one on one attention they need to succeed. Class work may be overwhelming and seem like a lot to overcome, but when you have a strong foundation, it becomes easier to manage. My goal is to give the student the tools that will help them create this foundation and succeed in both the classroom and beyond.
