Fun Facts
I started college as a music major. Then I was prelaw, and finally ended up a philosopher.
I played the euphonium in the high school concert and jazz band, as well as the baritone in the high school marching band.
I am a big sports fan (Lions and Tigers and Red Wings, oh my!!) and love learning new things. I hope to be a professor of Philosophy someday.
About Me
I graduated from Western Michigan University in 2011 with a Bachelors of Arts degree, double majoring in Political Science and Philosophy/Applied Ethics. I am currently a graduate student at wayne-state-university">Wayne State University, in the Masters of Philosophy program.
I have previously helped detroit">tutor students in the basics of music theory, as well as participating in the Western Michigan University's Philosophy Department detroit">Tutoring for a semester after my graduation. I was the captain of the Western Michigan Mock Trial team for two seasons, in which I had to help teach a pair of almost entirely new teams how to put on a court case in competition.
I hope to help students reach their potential in the classroom. I feel not enough people these days value education, and hope to help teach students the importance of doing well in school and furthering their education. Students should always give forth their best effort, and if they do that, they will certainly be successful in school. By finding what the student's goal is, it is easier to find what the student wishes to get out of detroit">tutoring. Active listening is important on both ends, so the student and I can learn from each other. Proper note taking is also important. I don't think I would have gotten through college without that, and the sooner one learns them, the better!
