Fun Facts

Something that I absolutely love to tell everyone about is my total love for reading and cuddling with my puppy. Reading is my favorite past time. I wish I could dedicate the majority of my time to reading and just surround myself with books. I also like to write poetry. Poems help me relax when times get tough. Of all the things I like to do nothing compares to spending time with my family and 5 God-kids. I hope that when I finish school I will be able to move into a small house close to them.

About Me

I'm a graduate from Galveston Community College. I received my Associates of Science degree from there. I was on the Honor Roll there and graduated with a 3.091 GPA. I now am in my second year at my dream school houston-clear-lake">houston">University of Houston Clear Lake. When I finish school I plan on graduating and becoming a teacher. I've always dreamt of being a teacher ever since I was a little kid. Eventually I want to get my Master's Degree and become a librarian.

Experience

In high school I was a part of a program for future teachers called BESTT. Bridging the Educational Scene for Teacher's of Tomorrow. In this program I mentored children of various ages ranging from pre- kindergarten to 8th grade.

Approach

Throughout my early school years I struggled to fit in as well as in my academics. I worked and studied hard to better myself and I found ways to fit into society. My parents, teachers and school counselors were very supportive and encouraging they helped guide me through my difficult times. Because I was helped when I thought everyone had given up on me I want to be that mentor and supporter for others. I want to guide children and teach them skills that will help them now and in the future.
