Fun Facts
One of my favorite things to do is to play board games. I also love to spend time with my pets and I am always up for a walk. I am the youngest of four. I was born and raise in Mexico City and moved to the US when I was eleven years old. I love singing, even though I am not good at it.
About Me
I am a senior with a Biochemistry major at Christian Brothers University. I have been in the Dean's List all four years. After graduation, I will be attending UT Health Science to pursuit a MD/PhD degree. My ultimate goal is to be an anesthesiologist.
Experience
I have been a language tutor at Christian Brothers University for two years. I tutor English speakers how to pronounce words in Spanish and also help them better understand the concepts they learn in class. I also volunteer at LeBonheur and in many occasions have to help kids with their homework or help them study. I also spend a lot of time around kids in my family and enjoy helping them with school work.
Approach
As someone who English is not their first language, I struggle in learning throughout middle school. Therefore, I had to study more and put more time and effort than other kids. Yet, in high school I had the opportunity to meet wonderful professors who made me a better student and help me pursuit a college education. As a tutor, I attempt to help students and be the difference they need to put a little more effort and be successful in their classes.
