Fun Facts

I am from Tampa, FL and I am currently studying Elementary Education and Music at chicago">Loyola University Chicago. My favorite academic subject is Math, but Music has always been what I love. I play the piano, I sing, and I spend many hours rehearsing with my a cappella group at school.

About Me

I am currently a Senior at chicago">Loyola University Chicago. I am studying Elementary Education and music. After schooling, I plan to teach in a Public or Private school in the Chicago area. I love teaching elementary and middle school students, but I also love the challenge of teaching high schoolers.

In the past, I have had many chicago">tutoring experiences. For the past four years I taught music at a Fine Arts camp in Florida. This involved teaching children how to read music, how to perform it, and how to properly learn it. I have also tutored 3rd and 8th grade math at Swift School in Chicago. Last year I tutored elementary school children at Sacred Heart Schools in math, study skills, and organizational skills. I have also tutored children in multiple subjects at a local Church. Lastly, this past summer I worked at an academic camp in a Kindergarten classroom teaching Math and English. I love chicago">tutoring because it is an incredible feeling to see a child improve in their academics, as well as many other important life skills.

My chicago">tutoring approach is simple, but very important. I believe the most important quality a chicago">tutor should have is patience. A child needs to know that the chicago">tutor is there to help no matter what, which involves staying positive and spending the correct amount of time on a subject the child is having trouble with.
