Some fun facts about me is that I absolutely love fashion. I am hooked to the latest trends and styles. I often come up with my own ideas in my spare time. I enjoy dancing, singing and acting. I am also, a year and a half a head in college.

About Me

Hello to all. My name is Kaelin Norris. I am a Texas Southern University graduate with a Liberal Arts degree in Communication. I plan to pursue my Masters degree in Education and Psychology soon. I currently teach Special Education on an elementary level. Teaching, mentoring and tutoring are a few amongst many of my passions. I’m free spirited, and flexible in regards to schedule and teaching techniques. My ultimate goal is become a Clinical Psychologist.

Experience

I’ve had the opportunity to work on a collegiate, high school and elementary level. While being employed at Texas Southern University I became a Residential Assistant for the Freshman dormitory as well as a Student Academic Liaison where I got the chance to mentor and tutor over 700 students. I’ve also, worked with Houston Independent School District collectively for about 3 years as a Senior Academic Tutor (English) and currently as a SPED Teaching Assistant.

Approach

I’ve always had a passion for teaching. In middle school I found myself tutoring my classmates and helping them succeed. Once I got to college I realized that it was apart of my purpose. And I’ve been doing it ever since. I’ve watched teachers and tutors have a set technique, but I’m a little different. My techniques are based solely on my client being that everyone learns differently. I believe that flexibility and client knowledge is the key to academic success.
