Sound algebra skills were fundamental in obtaining my mechanical engineering degree. I made very good grades in advanced Algebra courses in high school and I even skipped a year in math to place myself with students a year older than me.

Physics is fundamental in my mechanical engineering background. The whole world revolves around the laws of physics. It is very easy to provide students with real world applications of physics to make it interesting for them to learn.

Spanish I Tutoring

Spanish was my first language so I naturally excelled at Spanish in high school. The spanish high school teacher would ask me for confirmation when teaching the class spanish. I took spanish in high school to refine the subtle spanish skills such as learning where accent marks are placed.

Middle School Math Tutoring

Pre-Algebra is a fundamental class for middle school students but can also be very daunting. Math comes natural to me as an engineer so I am able to teach students fairly easily.

Science Tutoring

Middle school science is fun! We were able to learn about how organisms grow in the world. Math and science were very natural to me as an aspiring engineer in middle school. Even in middle school I would tutor other kids in my science class.

I learned how to use Adobe Photoshop in high school. It is a very powerful tool for image editing. I was able to pick up on it very quickly and should have no problem teaching other people how to do so.

Java Tutoring

Java is by far my favorite programming language. I've used Java at Bell Helicopter for the past 5 years and have made very important computer programs that make other engineer's life easier. I would LOVE to teach this language to young students because I remember how difficult it seemed at that age but once you understand the fundamentals you will realize it's not that hard but very powerful.

MATLAB Tutoring

I've used MATLAB throughout my college career and into my professional career at Bell Helicopter. It is used everywhere in the engineering industry and is very powerful for math applications. It is so easy to use as well. I would love to teach this software to young students.

Microsoft Access Tutoring

I learned Microsoft Access in high school and used it in UIL competitions for "Computer Applications. I went all the way to state for this and even got a college scholarship for it. Microsoft Access is an easy to use application that gives you a feel for relational databases with the ability to put them together with drag and drop controls. I would love to teach this software to young students.
