Fun Facts
I have many hobbies that I excel at. I love to learn foreign languages. I speak Mandarin Chinese, French, Spanish and have a basic knowledge of many more. I enjoy physical activities such as running, Lacrosse, swimming and a handful of different Martial Arts. I love to read. Traveling is also one of my favorite things to do.
About Me
I am a Junior at the University of Arizona. I am a double majoring student studying in Chinese and French Humanities. My ambition for when I graduate is to become an international translator. I plan to leave the country for a few years to teach English as a second language.
Experience
I have lived in French Speaking West Africa as well as China. I have financed these trips with my own money. I have been working part-time jobs while studying since I was 17. When I was in Africa, I was living there for two years serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I did a lot of service to the people there and learned to love the culture. I lived in China during the summer of 2015, and was studying abroad for the Arizona in Shanghai program.
Approach
I remember when I was in High School I struggled a lot with Math. So my mother signed me up for a Math tutor to help me with Trigonometry. I found the tutoring to be effective and it helped my grades a great deal. I have other talents outside of Math, that I know other people struggle with, and I would like to help them. My tutoring technique will be according to the needs of the student and won't be just a checklist on an agenda. When I was teaching English in Africa I made sure they enjoyed it

French / Chinese Humanities
Chinese Tutoring
I have been speaking Chinese since I was 16. I started by self-teaching myself because it was not offered at my school. When I stated taking classes I never got a score lower than an A. I have been to the People's Republic of China twice. This is my current major at the U of A.
English Tutoring
English was one of my favorite subjects throughout my educational career. I was always well known in my classes for being capable of writing good papers and essays. I also love to read. I never received bad grades in this subject.
French Tutoring
I speak fluent French after having lived two years in two French speaking countries in West Africa. When I came to the U of A, I tested out of 21 credits of French in one semester. I am currently enrolled in French 432 and French 434. French is my current major.

Geography Tutoring
I was never formally taught in Geography, but have done very much research in the field. Especially when it comes to Global Geography and Historical Geography.
History Tutoring
When in High School I took three AP History courses. I have been studying history on my own spare time for most of my life, because I am fascinated by it. My knowledge in history is very vast and I could talk about any time period and any location. I've never received a low score in a history course.
Spanish I Tutoring
Having been raised in Tucson, Arizona, I was required to take Spanish classes while in school. I always enjoyed them and never got a bad grade. I can converse in Spanish and have visited Mexico and Honduras on more than a few occasions.
AP History Tutoring
I took three AP History classes while in High School. I was in AP European History, AP US History and AP US Government. I passes all of these classes well. I thoroughly enjoy history and have studied it as a hobby most of my life.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have studied things covered in Social Studies classes all my life. I love history, culture and geography. I have been to many countries around the world. These include: China, Two countries in West Africa, England, Ireland, as well as Mexico and Honduras. I consider myself well rounded in this subject.
