I played baseball in high school, and I enjoy watching sports. As a junior in high school, I won the state science fair and presented my findings in washington/vancouver">Vancouver, BC. I love to learn, and I thoroughly enjoy teaching.

About Me

I am from Overland Park, Kansas which is right outside of Kansas City, Missouri. I attended Blue Valley North High School, and I am now a sophomore at Texas Christian University. Currently, I am a physics and mathematics major. I am a Chancellor's Scholar on a full tuition scholarship, and I have made it my goal to graduate Texas Christian University with at least a 3.8 GPA.

Throughout High School I had always actively tutored friends and acquaintances. I enjoy teaching and tutoring, as it often times gives me a chance to demonstrate my expertise in certain subject areas. In my experiences as a tutor, I have worked with a wide range of skill sets, ranging from some who were greatly struggling with the subject matter to others who very close to mastering the material. For this reason, it is of no importance to me with what skill level an individual initially identifies.

Through my experiences, I have learned that teaching someone to fish is indeed more satisfying than simply handing out fish. I believe that a large part of success can be derived from finding enjoyment in the activity. For this reason, I try to make the student self-sufficient through the enjoyment of their successes, i.e. I believe that enjoying the activity and success go hand in hand.
