Fun Facts
I have a passion for outdoors and nature. The beach is my ultimate paradise but sadly I live in Tucson so I don't get to enjoy it that often. Since I live in the desert, I love going on hikes and camping. I've hiked the Grand Canyon once and plan to hike it again this upcoming summer. I also love traveling, I have been to 3 countries with the coolest one being Aruba!
About Me
I am a Sophomore Pre-Nursing major at the University of Arizona. After graduating I want to work as a Registered Nurse for a year in an ICU. Then I will go to graduate school and becoming a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. My job will consist of giving patients anesthesia before surgery and monitoring them.
Experience
As a leader in my fraternity at the University of Arizona I hold a position that focuses on improving the GPAs of members. I usually tutor members that are having trouble in Math but I have also helped members in Writing. I also have experience teaching swimming lessons at a public pool for people aged anywhere from elementary school to adults. This job gave me the opportunity to teach others while still making the experience fun.
Approach
I have been an athlete my whole life and have been coached in many different ways, some coaches were effective others not so much. One coach that really stands out in my mind was my freshman wrestling coach. He had a passion for his athletes that I had never seen before and wanted nothing more than for us to succeed. He had the whole teams' respect and took practice very seriously, while also teaching us life lessons on the side. If I take that approach as a tutor my students will flourish.
