Fun Facts

I have played collegiate volleyball for the past four years on an academic scholarship. I love my sport but have always known books come first. Finding the balance between the two has allowed me to travel the united states eating all the free food I wanted and meeting famous athletes around the world. My goal in life is to return the favor and life lessons so many mentors in my life gave me by paying it forward.

About Me

I just transferred from Alabama State University where I pursued my athletic career. I have been blessed with an opportunity in my life that has allowed me to chase my other life passion of becoming a Nurse. I am a junior in the nursing program at UTA and will graduate in December 2017.

Experience

In high school, I was a member of the national junior honor society. I also graduated 16th in my class with a 3.7 GPA. I entered college as a junior in high school through a dual enrollment program and graduated with my freshmen year of college completed. Throughout my actual on-campus college credits, I have maintained a 3.4 GPA for 160 credits. I was on the deans list for 7 semesters. I love academics and hope to inspire as many young people as I can to enjoy education as much as I have.

Approach

Many people would know but I have struggled deeply with the subject of English. I was always been able to get away with my inability to spell, punctuate, and use grammar properly. (I'm am loving the editor on these paragraphs I am writing.) I understand how embarrassing not being able to master a subject can be. I feel that I can give skills to not only overcome difficulties but to give confidence that there is always to succeed.
