Fun Facts
I am from the small town of Delaware but I have currently been to 25 different states. My goal is to one day make it to all 50! I just recently moved to Austin for graduate study and have loved getting immersed in the culture and learning new things such as rock climbing and swing dancing.
About Me
I recently graduated with honors from James Madison University with a BA in Psychology. I am now a Master's student at the University of Texas studying Quantitative Methods in Educational Psychology. I have been dancing for almost 20 years but I also enjoy biking, reading, and crocheting.
Experience
I have served four semesters as a teaching assistant for a college-level Psychological Statistics course at James Madison University. I aided students in their understanding and comprehension of the material through one-on-one support as well as through group study sessions. I have also worked as a Psychology Peer Advisor for which I advised students in creating a plan for their college career and future goals through various services and products.
Approach
I have always loved school, especially math. My parents and teachers managed to make it a fun experience for me which made me even more motivated to continue learning. When given a difficult problem or assignment, I would feel such a sense of accomplishment once I was able to work my way through it. My goal is to help other students discover the joy, confidence, and success in their learning, as I was so fortunate to have found.
