Fun Facts
Fortunately, I am extremely open-minded, so I have fallen in love with a multitude of activities, and, on top of that, my competitive, diligent personality motivates me to attempt to surpass mediocrity for all my activities. Mainly, I have invested a huge amount of time, effort, and heart into soccer, and have seen amazing results. The rest of my interests consist of playing the piano, coloring, reading, weight-lifting and other sports, and adventuring nature.
About Me
I am a freshman philosophy and physics major, french minor, attending the University of Portland; however, my current academic interest were not chosen because of a career goal I have for the future, but because I want to maintain my mindset of wanting to learning everything I can that interests me or I deem beneficial. After I graduate, I am unsure of what I exactly want to do to make a living, but until I find out I am going to be traveling as much as possible.
Experience
Throughout my entire public school experience, I have been fortunate enough to always be a little ahead of my peers with academics, so after having many of peers always ask for help, I learned how to teach effectively without just giving away the answer. Furthermore, during my last two years of high school, my soccer team had a mandatory study hall every day, so I soon became the team tutor, and, for the first time in a while, my soccer team achieved an important academic goal.
Approach
Up until the end of my high school career, I did not understand the importance of learning since I never really struggled in school, so putting in minimal effort for the A was simple and easy enough to where it was my ideal plan. It was not until I got introduced to business that I realized that those that know the most and utilize such knowledge essentially know how to succeed. Therefore, after discovering how everything related, I fell in love with each and every meaning and idea.

Philosophy
English Tutoring
Throughout all my schooling, I have always enjoyed and excelled at english. Even though towards the end of my high school career I slacked off a little in my english classes, taking an english class in college once again reopened my admiration towards the broad subject. Therefore, having succeed in a college english class, I feel experienced enough to relay my knowledge to other students.
Environmental Science Tutoring
Even though I have only taken one class of environmental science, during my first semester of college, it was one of my more enjoyable classes because it was extremely relatable and interesting. The reason why it was relatable was because it explained the natural hazards and disasters mostly in our area so knowing why such events happen in such an area has allowed all environmental students in that class to adapt to other areas. Since the rest of environmental science is its relations with other topics or other areas, I believe I have learned enough to relay my knowledge effectively.
French Tutoring
I took french for three years in high school, and was fluent enough to where I was able to take the AP exam my senior year, but since I did not have enough space for a french class my senior year, I decided to wait for college to continue my french learning. Now, I have taken a semester of college intermediate french, which has helped dramatically with my fluency. A year off in between high school and college did affect my french skills, but I was able to learn from my struggles my first semester taking college french, and now I feel more fluent then I ever was before.

Philosophy Tutoring
Even though I have only completed one philosophy class, which was Intro to Philosophy my first semester of college, I am currently taking another, and I have spent countless hours reading and discussing philosophy topics with my senior, philosophy major friend. I am also part of the philosophy club, and the reason why it is my primary major is because it interests me so much and it comes to me pretty easily. Therefore, even though i have a minimal amount of academic experience in the subject, it is a subject I excel at naturally more than others.
Psychology Tutoring
Even though I only took one class of psychology my first semester of college, it was an intro class so it covered a wide spectrum of psychology subjects. The point is, we received a brief synopsis of the majority of subjects, so anything deeper just includes meticulous detail because the foundation has already been build. Therefore, I feel confident that I learned the qualities needed to understand psychology and teach it to others.
Study Skills Tutoring
In college, one's study skills are what either makes it or breaks it for each and every student depending on the work load given. Since my first day of college, I completely abolished my idea and action of procrastination when coming to school work, a step that a lot of other students have trouble reaching. This has allowed me to concentrate and improve the rest of my study skills because I did not have much holding me back. To this day, I feel like the skills I have acquired for studying can help others as well as they have helped me succeed.
Writing Tutoring
The english class that I succeeded in college was a writing class that helped me realize my advanced skills I already had, and the potentiality that was possible. Even though I currently do not have an english, or, more specifically, a writing class, I continue to write every single day for all my other classes. Therefore, I feel experienced enough to be able to aid and assist any level of writing.

The most advanced math I have successfully completed was Calculus 1 and 2, so to have arrived at that level I first succeed in each preceding class. Furthermore, even if I may not know the specifics, I have the skills, common sense, and experience to figure out and teach any subject under calculus 2. Therefore, I know I am ready to tutor students that are in need of help with math.
AP English Tutoring

Other than my freshman year of high school when advanced placement classes were not available, every history class I have taken in high school has been advanced placement. From those three years, I have learned and retained most of the criteria, but especially how to learn and retain such knowledge. Therefore, I am experienced enough to relay my skills and knowledge of history to others.
Homework Coach Tutoring
As a college student, a primary skill that one has to learn and master is studying. I believe that homework fall right under studying because the reason for homework is to practice, i.e., study. Therefore, I feel like an experienced and effective coach for homework for I have been utilizing it my entire academic life.

Even though I have always loved reading and will willingly read so often to where my reading comprehension is impeccable, I have dramatically improved by immersing myself into so many dense philosophy texts. Having read and understood works from Kant, Hobbes, and more, have given me an insight to a myriad of new vocabulary and concepts that will further assist me in reading more complicated texts. Therefore, I feel qualified enough to teach others how to comprehend their readings to another level.
History Tutoring

Taking this course my freshman year of high school was the official start of my geography experience, for it was incorporated with every advanced placement history course I took in high school. Furthermore, geography still continues to play a role in my classes today like environmental science, and as we grow older, we become aware more meticulous geography in our area. Therefore, I am ready and experienced to help those that need help in geography.
