Fun Facts

In middle school I was elected to be the editor or the yearbook. I love writing. Also, I am Portuguese so when I was younger I was a part of a Portuguese Folklore Group. I honestly loved it and if the group hadn't ended I would continue to dance and probably teach others.

About Me

I am currently in school as a Biology major at Florida International University. In high school I was a part of the Portuguese Honor Society and I hope to incorporate Portuguese into my major. Later, I would like to continue onto Med School.

Experience

Beginning in middle school, I loved to help other students with any reading or writing that was needed. In high school I volunteered at the library and community service building, where I was able to help younger kids in school with homework. I was able to get the opportunity to get a position at a Portuguese school where I was a student teacher. I loved the excitement of helping kids and be passionate about what I do.

Approach

As a child, I struggled in school and found school very difficult. Reaching high school, I had the tools I needed provided by my peers, in order to help me learn better studying techniques. As a tutor, I plan to support. One thing a child and a teenager needs is support and confidence when doing an assignment. I also plan on bringing my positive attitude to the table and introduce my study techniques.
