Fun Facts
On my free time I enjoy finger painting as it does relieve stress. I enjoy reading as well as studying, which is what I do for the most part of my day. I am the middle child of three siblings which I love very much.
About Me
I am a freshman at Florida International University, pursuing a Bachelors in Biology. After a difficult and challenging fall semester, I was able to overcome the obstacles and get straight A's. When I graduate, I hope attend University of Washington in Seattle, Washington for medical school.
Experience
As a member of Women of Tomorrow in High school I was able to mentor my fellow peers on how to be successful even when faced with adversity. My senior year, I was inducted to Mu Alpha Theta, a math honors society, and had the opportunity of tutoring younger students on subjects such as Algebra and Geometry. Upon entering college, I was eager to give back to my fellow peers and community, which motivated me to join the Peer Led Team Learning global program as a Biology I leader.
Approach
Growing up, school seemed very challenging to me due to the barrier language that existed between me and my at the time instructors. It was through my fellow peers' interest to help me learn, in which I was able to overcome the fear of school. Peer-tutoting helped me explore many subjects I was afraid of, like science. Through help of other kind students, I overcame obstacles, and found it in me to pursue knowledge, but to also help others explore their personal scholarly capacities.

Biology
Biology I Tutoring
I am currently leading two Peer Led Team Learning, in which I lead a group of peers and tutor them on College General Biology I. I received an A in Biology lecture and Biology Lab.
English Tutoring
I took ENC1102 in college, passing the class with an A. There was only one grade given in the class I was enrolled in, and the grade was based on a research paper. I have extensive knowledge on how to build up a research paper, as well as writing to communicate rheotorical ideas, and skills to enhance reading comprehension.
Algebra Tutoring
I received an A in both Algebra I and Algebra II in high school. I was also chosen to join Mu Alpha Theta, a math honors society. In college I also received an A in Intermediate Algebra.
AP English Tutoring
As an previous AP English student, I was able to skip ENC1101 in college. I have extensive knowledge on rhetorical writing, synthesizing information, and finding meaning to literature pieces through understanding the language.
Biology AP Tutoring
I participated in AP Biology my senior year of High school, and I passed the class with an A. I am currently a biology major that has taken both Biology I and Biology II. I am also a leader/ tutor for the global program known as Peer Led Team Learning.
