Fun Facts
My main interests are mathematics, philosophy, computer science, and music, as well as discussing them and developments in their fields with friends and peers. I work as a DJ at my university's radio station: WRGP. I'm also fond of street fashion, locks, GNU/Linux, and sushi.
About Me
I'm currently a junior Florida International University; by this fall I should obtain a B.S. in Mathematics, and a B.S. in Computer Science the following year. I ultimately want to either pursue the field of financial mathematics or cryptography, and do research in machine learning and artificial intelligence in graduate school.
Experience
Currently, I'm a learning assistant to professors in FIU. Last semester I was an LA for Calculus II, and this semester I'm an LA for Finite Math. I also work as a tutor in the mathematics lab where students come and ask questions while doing problems on the computer. I also do private tutoring for several students at a time, to either help them prepare for an exam, or repeated sessions to assist them in their class material.
Approach
Unfortunately, kids become disenfranchised with math early on either due to falling behind slightly and never given the chance to catch up, or their question "why bother learning this?" never really being answered adequately. Often enough it's not well understood that math is simply the observation of, when accepting a set of assumptions, and we can logically prove conclusions from them. I often like to show math's parallels in random fields, from music, to art, to business and finance, to law.

Advance Statistics Tutoring
Took mathematical statistics I and II, where I learned about discrete and continuous distributions, mathematical proofs to them, and currently studying for the actuarial certificate.
C++ Tutoring
Intro and advanced C++, as well as do most of my programming for ProjectEuler in C and C++. Familiar with basic to developing data structures.
Calculus I Tutoring
AP Calculus, 5 on the AP exam. Have tutored dozens of people in this specific topic, and gained a strong ability to find where most mistakes and misconceptions are made and how to demystify them.
Calculus 2 Tutoring
Took AP Calculus BC, and worked as a learning assistant for a Calculus II, as well as privately tutored students in the topic. Currently taking Advanced Calculus (analysis) that provides me a more profound understanding of the subject's material.
College Algebra Tutoring
Work in my University's math lab where we specifically assist students in college algebra. My main clients are also college algebra students, so I've become familiar with the curriculum, as well as programs used in classes for it (i.e. WileyPLUS).
Computer Programming Tutoring
From introductory Java to Data Structures, as well as AP Computer Science in high school, I'm familiar with a fair amount of undergraduate computer science topics. I'm currently a math major with a computer science second major, so the algorithmic and mathematical concepts are no issue, and I can provide a strong foundation for these concepts.
Computer Science Tutoring
From introductory Java to Data Structures, as well as AP Computer Science in high school, I'm familiar with a fair amount of undergraduate computer science topics. Math Advance Tutoring
I have taken Intro to Advanced Math, as well as several higher level undergraduate math classes, with a strong understanding on the process of developing proofs and undergoing logic behind it.
Physics I Tutoring
Strong understanding in the calculus behind, as well as the actual content.
Trigonometry Tutoring
I've taken Pre-AP Precalculus in 10th grade, which was essentially trigonometry. I'm currently pursuing a B.S. in mathematics and have familiarized on all of trigonometry, and the calculus that goes into it.
Calculus Tutoring
AP Calculus, 5 on the AP exam. Have tutored dozens of people in this specific topic, and gained a strong ability to find where most mistakes and misconceptions are made and how to demystify them.

SAT Math Tutoring
I've taken the Kaplan SAT prep course, and I've underwent 3 years pursuing a degree in mathematics and a degree in computer science. Received a 730 on the math portion of the SAT and a 710 on the math SAT subject test.
C Tutoring
I've taken C for Engineers, as well as write most of my programs in C.
Java Tutoring
From introductory Java to Data Structures (with Java), as well as AP Computer Science in high school, I'm familiar with a fair amount of undergraduate computer science topics. I'm currently a math major with a computer science second major, so the algorithmic and mathematical concepts are no issue, and I can provide a strong foundation for these concepts.
Linux Tutoring
I use Linux as my everyday operating system. I'm familiar with the installation process of various distributions, as well as managing the terminal and using bash to deal with various tasks.
