One thing many people learn about me is that I can crochet! I'm really good at it and can visualize patterns as I'm constructing a piece. I can make almost anything.

About Me

I'm a recent graduate from Howard University. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's of Science in Health Science. I'm originally from Trinidad and Tobago. I've been on my school's Dean's List every semester since freshman year, and I've made the Merit List in Accounting back home in Trinidad. My goal is to ultimately become a Physical Therapist or get my doctorate in Exercise Physiology.

Experience

My high school placed a lot of emphasis on community service and outreach. As part of the Student Council, I served as a mentor to the incoming classes as well as volunteered to give homework assistance at a local elementary school. Using this experience I want to continue to help students realise their potential.

Approach

I study by teaching others. If I cannot fully explain a concept to someone, then I don't believe that I truly understand it. It is through this thought process I approach tutoring. What best way can I communicate or break down a concept into memorable shortcuts that can help someone else understand? I believe a large aspect of my job is to help them think critically to not only find the solution but be able to explain why they have reached that conclusion.
