Fun Facts

I am without a doubt a travel junkie! I have been to over 30 countries and 5 out of the 7 continents. I am constantly planning my next adventure! I have an older brother who is 6'9 and 3 family members who played professional sports. I am a full blown FOODIE and love experiencing new things!

About Me

I graduated from Baylor University in 2009 with a degree in film and communications. I have a Masters in Journalism from The University of North Texas and pursuing a Doctorate in Higher Education at Texas A&M Commerce. My ultimate goal is to be a Dean or Vice President of a University.

Experience

While in undergrad I helped my fellow classmates in the writing lab and have previously worked for Sylvan Learning Center. After graduating from Baylor University I interned with both FC Dallas and The Dallas Mavericks. Those internships led me to become the Director of Communications for LaDainian Tomlinson's non-profit foundation. After leaving public relations, I found my true passion and calling within education.

Approach

As a child I loved to read. My mom has me on tape at 3 years old pretending to read nursery rhymes (I had them ALL memorized). It breaks my heart when I hear students tell me they don't like to read and write. It is my goal to unleash their passion for it and show them that it can be exciting. As a tutor, my organization, patience and creative methods keeps my students engaged.
