Fun Facts
I am a martial artist who loves to draw; but my biggest passion has always been to learn. For as long as I remember, I have always loved going to school and finding out as much as I can about the world as possible.
About Me
I am currently an Honors College student attending Florida International University and I have made the Dean's List. My major is Biology with minors in studio art and chemistry. After graduation, I plan on pursuing medicine to become a surgeon.
Experience
In high school, as part of the Science, Spanish and National Honors Societies, I tutored my classmates and peers in Biology, Spanish and reviewed their essays for English class. I loved being able to explain and be the bridge that connects a student with a subject enabling them to gain an understanding of a difficult concept.
In college, I am still approached by my classmates to help them understand the topics in class. I value every opportunity to be able to improve someone's understanding!
Approach
What I have struggled the most with as a learner myself is connecting all the ideas together to form one big idea. As a miami">tutor, I feel as though connecting everything together to gain an overall understanding of the concept as a whole is very important for learning. Additionally, I teach studying habits so that the student will know how to approach the subject themselves and be able to retain the information and understanding for the long term, and not solely cram for the exam.

I have taken AP Spanish Literature, AP Spanish Language and IB Spanish A (Native Level) and have received a score of 4 for all three courses. I have the ability to be able to teach basic concepts, such as conjugations, grammar, etc. and can practice vocabulary and proof read essays/projects if needed.

Through my own personal hardships with studying, I have come up with ways to be able to learn and remember the concepts for not only the test but for long term memory as well.

Homework Coach Tutoring
I feel as though it is super important for everyone to know what it means to study and know time management in order to complete tasks and to learn the material. Through my own personal hardships with studying and completing homework assignments, I have come up with ways to be able to manage my homework and use it to learn and remember the concepts for not only the test but for long term memory as well.
Science Tutoring
As a biology major in college, I have a passion for science and have experience in taking multiple sciences throughout college and in high school. This exposure has allowed me to be able to formulate study methods to learn and retain the concepts for both lectures and labs.
English Tutoring
I work especially well with planning out essays and helping others generate ideas and the organization of their paper. I also do well with assisting in reading comprehension for exams such as the FCAT and answering questions dealing with other types of comprehension centered tests.
History Tutoring
Throughout high school, I took AP US government, AP US history and IB History of the Americas and passed all of the exams. Through my experience with these courses, I was able to come up with various studying methods to be able to retain the material for the exam.
