Fun Facts

I was born in Racine, Wisconsin and until I moved away for college, I lived in the same house for my whole life! I have traveled to London and Paris, and would love to travel all over the world someday. I love playing and watching all sports, especially tennis and soccer. I have read each Harry Potter book over 5 times! (I love all kinds of other books too). I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, especially my best friends who I have been friends with for over 15 years! My favorite TV

About Me

I graduated from William Horlick High School in 2008 as our class valedictorian. I am currently student teaching 3rd grade at Meadowview Elementary School in Oak Creek as I finish my senior year at Marquette University. I will graduate in December of this year with my degree in Elementary Education/Math!

At Marquette, I have gotten wonderful experience in classrooms ranging from second to seventh grades. I have also gotten to milwaukee">tutor two fifth grade students in math twice a week, and two second grade students in reading twice a week, each over the course of a semester. With those milwaukee">tutoring experiences I have gotten to see student learning progress and grow, and have improved test scores for my students!

I believe in teaching a variety of different methods in order to ensure student understanding. I also feel that it's important to do a variety of different problems, and answer a variety of questions, no matter what subject. I also feel that it is essential that students can always explain their solutions and how they got those solutions, to guarantee that they understand what they are working on rather than just memorizing it.
