Fun Facts

Sun bursting over the tree line, brisk wind whipping around, and the autumn leaves swirling about, I pedaled up the precipitous hill, each breath shocking my lungs with cold air. I began cycling barely a year ago, and have become quite the enthusiast. It requires very much the same commitment as academics do. Time and energy invested consistently yield amazing and unexpected fruit. I also play the guitar and piano. Music is and always has been significant in my life. I am a serious traveler too!

About Me

I hope and strive to work one day as a medical doctor. I am currently completing my undergraduate study in biochemistry at Saint Louis University. Specifically, I would love to see myself working among those who have very little or no access to adequate health care, possibly in another country. Service is truly the substance of this kind of work, and is the reason the workers in this profession are constantly renewed with vigor and resolve. I have every intention in the meantime to make my learning experience as busy and diverse as possible. I volunteer at SLU hospital, participate/volunteer with organizations at SLU (cycling and chemistry clubs), and remain active in my religious community. It is now a great pleasure and honor to have the opportunity to teach in a formal capacity, and represent a reputable tutoring business.

During my time supervising at DirecTV I was often concerned with educating and training the technicians on the science and methods of the satellite installation industry. I have, also, spent time substituting for teachers in a PSR program(parish school of religion program). I continue today to teach as often as I can, and remain teachable myself. I relish the opportunities to impart the knowledge I have on a subject to my peers and fellow students. I labor to stay sharp in my studies so that I may provide accurate and comprehensible instruction. I do not seek to grow in understanding and gain in knowledge simply for personal advancement, but am more interested in letting these gifts and talents assist those around me.

My tutoring methods are founded on learning concepts. I firmly believe that once a concept or essential idea of a subject is understood, then the particular details of that subject will flow logically. For example, studying the origin, purpose, and meaning of a Cartesian plane is far more effective when teaching on graphs, rather than merely stating: "this is the x-axis, this is the y-axis, memorize it." A patient and repetitio
