Fun Facts

One of the greatest passions in my life is softball. I have played for as long as I can remember and I am often found in the batting cages or on the field when I have spare time. I also LOVE music. I always have it playing when I am at home, and I play the guitar and sing whenever I have free time (normally in the car on the way to school). I hope to someday be fluent in Spanish, be able to visit all 50 states and publish my own book of poetry.

About Me

I am a junior at carroll-university">John carroll-university">Carroll University majoring in English Literature and minoring in Creative Writing. For three out of my four finished semesters in college I was on the Dean's List, and I am apart of the JCU Varsity Softball team and also a consultant at the University Writing Center. After I graduate, I hope to continue my education at John Carroll by receiving a Master's of Education and my teaching certificate. My final goal after teaching for a few years is to earn a Doctorate Degree in English.

In my freshman year of college, I discovered that I enjoyed cleveland">tutoring through peer reviews of papers in my beginning English course. After that class, I began cleveland">tutoring friends and peers and was asked to work in the Writing Center. I have learned much from my experiences in the writing center, and I hope to expand my cleveland">tutoring experience by joining Frog cleveland">Tutoring.

When I was younger, I was fortunate to have a softball coach that not only taught us the skills and techniques to be successful softball players but also the ability to teach and correct ourselves. After seeing the success I had with self teaching on the softball field, I applied it to my studies with success. My hope as a cleveland">tutor is to give the students I work with the opportunity to learn and to be able to apply their skills of learning to other aspects of their life to become successful.
