Fun Facts
I love to dance! I enjoy dancing Latin dances because my family is from the Caribbean. I enjoy reading, hanging out with friends and although I am terrible at it, I also enjoy singing out loud.
About Me
I am a senior at Stonehill College double majoring in Health Sciences and Spanish. I hope to continue my education and apply to an accelerated nursing program post graduation. My ultimate goal is to work in the NICU.
Experience
I tutored a first grade classroom and was a teacher assistant at a local Elementary school near my college. I tutored in all subject areas; I helped the children with their reading, writing and math problems. I am also a teacher assistant at a private daycare and have been working here for 2 years now. I work mainly with infants but I have worked with up to school age children.
Approach
As a child, I always did great in school and enjoyed engaging in the classroom with my peers. I was fortunate enough to have my parents' support all the way through college. I am the oldest of 4 so I have a lot of pressure on me since I am also a first generation college student. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and my skills with others and the feeling of making a positive impact in other people's lives is amazing. I look forward to helping others excel in their challenging courses.

Spanish
Spanish I Tutoring
Spanish I is the most basic level of the language. I am a native speaker and I am also majoring in Spanish. I can read, write and speak fluently. I can help with grammar and spelling rules.
Writing Tutoring
I took AP English in high school. I received A's throughout senior year and also received A's through out high school. I enjoy writing and can also help with creative writing.
Salsa Dancing Tutoring
I have been dancing salsa since I was about 13 years old. I cannot dance it competitively but I can teach the basic footwork and can also teach spins. I often dance with family members. I have two uncles that can dance it really well and I was taught as a pre-teen.
Biology AP Tutoring
I was a biology major for 3 years. I took Biology 101 my freshman year in college and I received at B-. I received A's throughout high school as well.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I took pre-algebra in middle school and really enjoyed it. I excelled in the course all throughout middle school. Algebra is about breaking problems apart and organizing numbers with variables and I work well with variables.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I work well with reading and summarizing paragraphs in short phrases/ sentences. I often leisure read so reading is not a challenge for me. I am also bilingual so having the ability to read in two languages help.
