I love helping people learn. Usually, when someone says they do not understand something my first reply is "what is it that you don't understand". I try my best to help others understand and grasp the concepts they need in order to reach their goals.
About Me
I am a current Wayne State University student studying English and linguistic. My desire is to work as a linguist in another country after graduate school.
Experience
I have worked as an English and Writing tutor at the college level in the past. I did everything from helping students craft the main points to their essays to simple MLA and APA guideline reviews.
Approach
I believe that any and everything can be learned. I seek to help students by first assessing how much knowledge they have about the subject and then I build from there. I reinforce their previous knowledge and then help build on what they already know. Next, I try to understand the assignment and guidelines so that I can help the students meet expectations and master the material. I want each of my students to know they can do what they are asked and do it well.
