Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE kids! Any time I have a chance, you will find me furthering my education in order to do a better job teaching children. I am one of eight in a blended family. I enjoy singing and dancing. Someday soon, I hope to have children of my own!
About Me
I am an educator in the a district close to Kansas City. I have a bachelors degree from Pittsburg State. I have taught third grade for three years and currently teach the third grade virtual program for my district. I am ten credit hours away from a masters in Administration and love knowing that one day I will be able to help children on a different level.
Experience
Being in education I have the ability to help students that have many different needs. I am currently at a Title 1 school which is a lower income school. With that comes a lot of responsibility. I have had the opportunity to challenge students from different backgrounds and nothing makes me happier that when the student gets their "A-Ha" moment in the classroom. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to impact even more lives of students that need help!
Approach
As a child, I struggled with reading comprehension and have made it my goal to give students all the tools they need to be successful at reading and in all other subjects. I have the attitude that with the right tools, any child can be successful. I plan to bring this with me in my tutoring sessions. All children have the ability, they just need to correct guidance to get them to their full potential.

Graduate CourseworkEnglish Tutoring
I teach all of the third grade standards in this subject. I have experience with sentence structure, paragraph structure, prefixes, suffixes, writing prompts, adverbs, quotations, descriptive language, and a lot more. K-6 is all very similar in thoughts of English, if one can teach one grade then the rest of the knowledge builds from there.
Homework Coach Tutoring
Homework is designed to work on objectives taught in the classroom. I believe in homework as an avenue to have extra practice on what was taught. This goes with other subjects and I am highly qualified to help in the as well.
Math Tutoring
In math the standards are always changing. I have experience with the news standards and the "new way of teaching things". Most of my experience is with common core but I have other avenues in which I teach as well.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I have used a few different math curriculums and feel extremely confident in teaching this area. All students are capable of learning math, sometimes they just need to learn the objective in another way. I have the tools needed to help students achieve their goals.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
Reading comprehension can be a very difficult thing to teach without proper training. Fortunately I have a lot of training in this subject due to teacher inservice and a masters degree. With the right tools, any child can learn how to comprehend.
Religion Tutoring
I went to religious schools k-12 and have a very good knowledge of many different religions. I am very active in my church and could help your student further their education in religion.
Science Tutoring
I am apart of the Next Generation Science Standards team for my school district. I have chosen curriculums and am very knowledgable in the subject of elementary science. I have the curriculums at my finger tips and would be able to help students k-5 in this subject.
Social Studies Tutoring
I have been a part of the social studies planning committee for my district and know the standards that students must learn. I have the curriculums and am very knowledgable in this subject.
Spanish Tutoring
I took 3 years of spanish in College and took 4 years of it in High School. I am a little rusty but can easily pick up the subject matter if there was a need. I have written papers in spanish and can do what is needed in order to help your student.
Study Skills Tutoring
Study skills are a crucial part to education. I never was a good studier and throughout my education have learned the ways to do it properly. I would be able to give your student the tools necessary in order to have proficient study skills.
Writing Tutoring
Writing comes with English. To me the subjects are one in the same. I have taught writing/English for 3 years now and know that I have the tools that your student would need in order to better themselves in this area.
