Fun Facts
I am a thrill-seeker and a child at heart. Learning and teaching others is a never-ending passion of mine.
About Me
I am a Counseling Psychology doctoral student at University of Missouri - Kansas City. I have my Masters in Psychology from Houston Baptist University and my Bachelors of Science from Stony Brook University in New York, where I concentrated in Computer Science and Biology.
Experience
I have been a personal tutor for various subjects and student-levels since 2007. I still tutor now, mainly in Statistics, Research Methods, and Writing. I have been a class tutor for elementary students as well in the past. Currently, I am an Adjunct Professor who teaches General Psychology to 75 undergraduates and a Graduate Research Assistant at the Office of Institutional Research at University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Approach
My approach is to use empowerment techniques to empower the student to be aware of their capability and intellect. I then meet them where they are and work with them to find a strategy for studying and learning that works best for them.
