Fun Facts
I've recently rediscovered my love of volleyball and am coaching a middle school girl's volleyball team. I also enjoy watching baseball, though I can't play it at all. I love to read, and have a closet full of books.
About Me
I was born in Puerto Rico and am a fluent Spanish speaker. I'm trying to get my son to learn Spanish even though he is hesitant about it.
I am a fourth grade teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District. I did my student teaching in 2nd grade in the Blue Valley School District.
I am in the process of getting my Master's in Educational Leadership through the online program of the University of Texas.
Experience
I have taught 4th grade for 2 years and tutored 2 ELL students in English over the last summer.
Approach
I believe that every student learns in different ways. What works for one will not necessarily work for another. My approach is to get to know each child individually and tailor my lessons and tutoring sessions to best fit that child.
